Today, I start a little adventure, and by little I mean with 100 words. While I’m working on my novel length project, I’m still submitting to Splickety and am writing a few other short pieces. I’m toying with the idea of a continuous story told in bite sized pieces. If you’re interested, leave me a comment! I hope you enjoy this first installment.
Jenna watched from the trees as the caravan bustled down the road. Her heart pounded. That was close. She was getting sloppy. She counted to fifty after the last wagon disappeared around the bend. She tucked the knife back in her belt and took an uneasy step from her hiding spot.
She hadn’t seen travelers in a group that large for years. They were refugees by the look of what they carried. The war had moved south faster than she had anticipated. She had to reach the Teral Mountains by Sigil’s Moon, or Tyria would lose the Light forever.
